NovaSecure

NovaSecure has been designed to enable users to have a single login to multiple systems automatically. It is a Windows client to UNIX server product where the Windows client invokes the required emulator for the system that the user wishes to access.

How it works from a user's perspective

 

A user will login to NovaSecure and be presented with a single menu structure which contains all of the facilities that he/she has over multiple systems. By simply selecting a menu item NovaSecure will automatically invoke the correct viewer for that system and log the user on the required system. Upon leaving that system the user is again presented with the NovaSecure menu.

 

 

How it works from a technical perspective

NovaSecure allows the IT department to define a list of up to 676 functions which the users can access using a single login. For each function NovaSecure will need information as to which windows program to invoke upon selection, and the identifier of the target system. In addition NovaSecure will need details of login name and password (on the target system) for the users who are able to select this function. It is as simple as that! In addition NovaSecure allows users to be put into user groups for ease of maintenance, logs all attempted security violations, allows automatic time outs and physical security if required.
