Overview

CATALYST is a Real-Time Data Warehouse for the Investment/Wholesale banking market place. It is unique in its ability to take transactional data from legacy systems and create a consistent view of Customers, Assets, Transactions and Exposures for all types of financial products.

Transactional data is translated and transposed via CATALYST’s easily configurable translation engine into the generic DataBase, where consistent positions and profit & loss are calculated. This enables the management of global risk using sophisticated ‘drill down’ techniques from positions through transactions to actual cash flows for both single Customers and Customer Groups.All of this information is accessible via an English Language interface that hides the complexity of the DataBase from the end user.

Modules

CATALYST is available as 3 integrated modules:-

Global Static DataBase - System security and static data maintenance capabilities for supporting a master super-set of global static data, including financial products and customers, with hierarchies and cross ownership support.

Global Real-Time Transaction DataBase - A middle office system that has a single consistent multi-product database through which transactions are processed as they are received, producing consistent profit & loss and funding information..

Back Office - Building on the functionality of the Global Real-Time Transaction DataBase, this provides settlement capabilities for book entry products anywhere within the customer's global network.
